These NEW SLOW RELEASE Sciarid Fly Nematodes are encased to create easy to handle pearls that release nematodes slowly into the compost giving 4 weeks control. Each pack contains 200 pearls, which treats up to 20 pots, but because they have a LONGER expiry date than traditional nematodes (approx 8 weeks), you can use some, pop them in the fridge and then re-apply every 4 weeks until the expiry date – brilliant! Also known as compost fly / fungus gnat, Sciarid fly is a common pest of greenhouse plants and houseplants. Use these NEW SLOW RELEASE Sciarid Fly Nematodes to control the sciarid fly larvae and use Pot Glue Traps to control the adults until the pest is under-control. They need a daytime soil temperature of 10°C, so use indoors or under-glass all year round or use them outdoors during the growing season. Safe for you – use on plants in your living room or conservatory. Supplied in packs of 200 x easy to use pearls and each pack will treat up to 20 pots.

These NEW SLOW RELEASE Sciarid Fly Nematodes are encased to create easy to handle pearls that release nematodes slowly into the compost giving 4 weeks control. Each pack treats up to 20 pots, but because they have a LONGER expiry date than traditional nematodes – approx 8 weeks, you can use some, pop them in the fridge and then re-apply every 4 weeks until the expiry date – brilliant! Also known as compost fly / fungus gnat, Sciarid fly is a common pest of greenhouse plants and houseplants. The Sciarid flies crawl over the compost surface and if disturbed fly on to the lower leaves – there can be very annoying especially on houseplants. The larval stage in the compost attacks the roots and can kill young seedlings. Use these NEW SLOW RELEASE Sciarid Fly Nematodes to control the sciarid fly larvae and use Pot Glue Traps to control the adults until the pest is under-control.
These NEW SLOW RELEASE Sciarid Fly Nematodes contain Steinernema Feltiae nematodes that are safe to use on food crops, safe for children, pets and wildlife and are very easy to apply. They need a daytime soil temperature of 10°C, so use indoors or underglass all year round or use them outdoors during the growing season. Safe for plants – will not scorch tender seedlings or young plants. Safe for you – use on plants in your living room or conservatory. Supplied in packs of 200 x easy to use pearls and each pack will treat up to 20 pots – use as follows :-
- Make small holes on the surface of the compost every 3cm.
- Place one pearl in each hole.
- Cover with compost and water to activate.
- Place any left over pearls in the fridge.
- Re-apply after 4 weeks. Keep re-applying using the last before the expiry date printed on the pack – normally 8 weeks.
