Lime Mix for Wormeries

Lime Mix will keep you wormery woking at its best. Adding a handful of Lime Mix every couple of weeks to your wormery to prevent acid build up and keep the pH of your wormery suitable for worms. Worms hate acid conditions and acidic foods such as onions and citrus peel (orange and lemon peel) can lower the pH of your wormery. The ideal pH for a wormery is 7, so ideally check your wormery with a pH meter and then add lime mix to increase the pH until 7 is reached. Adding Lime Mix will also help prevent smells, flies and white worms. It also contains grit, which aids the worm’s digestion and has drying properties making it ideal for wet or under- performing wormeries. Lime Mix is supplied in environmentally friendly brown paper 2kg bags.
