Use these BIODEGRADABLE yellow Glue Traps instead of traditional plastic ones to monitor / control whitefly alongside Encarsia. Made from treated cardboard, they breakdown much quicker than traditional plastic traps. Each trap has four release papers on, which means each trap can be used 4 times by peeling back one section of paper to reveal the glue trapping area beneath. Once this is full of insects another section of trap can be used by pulling off another release paper. Whitefly are attracted by the bright colour and become stuck to the trap. They should be changed as they become dirty. ECO Hanging Glue Traps are available in packs of 10.

Yellow Glue Traps should be hung next to plants early in the season to monitor & control any early whitefly. These sticky Glue Traps can be left in position once the Encarsia has been introduced – place them next to the growing point of the plants and raise as the plant grows. This way the Encarsia will not be trapped as they tend to congregate nearer the lower leaves – the traps will only catch whitefly, which fly to the tops of the plants. For plants such as tomatoes, hang the traps with string from the greenhouse roof, so they can be raised as the plant grows. Whitefly are attracted by the bright colour and become stuck to the trap. They should be changed as they become dirty. ECO Hanging Glue Traps are available in packs of 10.
Mrs Webb (verified owner) –
I ordered from you one pack of ECO Hanging Glue Traps and four intros of Encarsia for Whitefly. Delivery was prompt, but unfortunately what should have been the second intro of Encarsia arrived on the same day as the first intro and the Glue Traps. Thus, although I actually had four lots of Encarsia I was unable to space them out at weekly intervals. However, they had done a grand job and reduced what was starting to be a major problem to just an occasional individual whitefly.
