Stop chestnut leafminer moths by positioning Biodegradable Paper Plum Moth Traps between April and September. With springs and autumns getting warmer, many pests are staying active longer including Chestnut Leafminer Moths, so while traditional traps only include 3 lures giving 18 weeks cover these traps are supplied in packs of 5 containing 5 biodegradable paper traps, 5 sticky pads and 5 pheromone lures designed to give a whole season of protection i.e. 30 weeks. Use the 1st trap in April before the moths emerge and then replace every 6 weeks all the way through until September. Use 1 trap per 5 trees and hang at a height of at least 1.5 -2m above the ground or insert into the canopy. These simple and easy to use traps contain a pheromone-laced lure, which attracts the male moths and a sticky trap, which catches them before they can fertilise the females, so no eggs are produced. Each trap is supplied with a lure that will last for approx 6 weeks. Simply unfold the trap (no glue or tools needed), insert the sticky pad and add the lure. The pheromone lure is specific to the Chestnut Leafminer Moth, so other species will not be attracted. These traps are pesticide free and will not harm beneficial insects.
