Customer Question – Nematodes and frost
Q. “I thought I was so organised and applied my nematodes as instructed yesterday and now we have had overnight frost and this cold snap, have I wasted my money? It rained yesterday and I thought it a good opportunity…” Kind regards Jo
A. Thanks for the message and nematodes are more than capable of surviving a slight frost, so they will be fine. They need a daytime soil temp of 5c to be active and at lower temperatures they just become a bit sluggish, so they will become active again as soon as temperature rise during the day. I hope this puts your mind at rest. Jon @ Green Gardener
