Customer Question – Controlling Woolly Aphids?
Q. “What is effective against wooly aphids please,? We have a large affected conservatory with many plants.” from Alan Morris
A. Thanks for the message and a combination of Sb Invigorator natural spray and Ladybird Larvae is going to be the best approach at this time of year. Spray 1st with SB Invigorator to kill as many woolly aphids as possible and to clear up as much wool and stocky residue as possible. This chemical free spray is very effective and being chemical free it means ladybird larvae can be introduced as soon as it is dry. Try and spray twice over 2 days to clear as many as possible. Once you have sprayed, introduce some ladybird larvae directly onto the affected plants to eat any remaining woolly aphids and to get into all those placed you cannot spray into.
